Do we have to move out while building is going on?

In short No.

Most times you can remain living as normal, with little disruption until the later stages of the project.

Careful planning and ongoing communication with clients ensures minimal disruption.

How long does it take to build?

On average most projects are completed in 4-6 months, once construction has commenced, depending on the type of build.

An efficient project management system, which involves regular communication with clients, ensures on time completion.

The planning and approval stage can take from 4-8 weeks depending on Council requirements and relative legislation.

Are there additional costs or “hidden extras”

Once our detailed Quotation is approved and a Home Building Contract signed, the contract amount is fixed and does not alter, unless a fully costed variation document is approved by all parties (variations are usually client changes or additional requests for work).

Variation procedures are built into the contract and Quotation and are explained in detail before signing. You will not be ask for anything “extra“ if you are not made aware of and have approved it beforehand.

Do we get to choose colors or material finishes?

You have full control over all colour choices and material finishes, including tiling and fixtures for the bathroom areas, as well as working with a kitchen designer when having a new kitchen installed.

You can visit the showrooms of our local suppliers to help you make your choices.

You can also decide to choose a new color scheme and style, that may differ from your existing dwelling, to help freshen up and enhance your home.

Do you have any references or previous work we can see?

You will be able to view a select range of our completed projects and speak with previous clients about their experience with Tudor Building Services.

Do we need an Architect or designer?

No, we can undertake all the design and drafting requirements with our in-house team.

We work closely with all our clients to help make sure their ideas and requirements are achieved.

Do we have to arrange council approvals and plans?

No, we can take care of the complete approval process as well as supply all required plans and documentation.

We have an in-house design and drafting team to complete all the architectural plans.

Most councils’ fees and charges are included in our Quotation.

How are payments made?

The total contract amount includes up to seven progress claims or stages.

A maximum 10% deposit is payable once the approval process is complete.

After particular stages of construction are completed, a relevant payment will be due, with the payment schedule documented is the Home Building Contract.

How do we arrange a Quotation?

Simply call to speak with the builder to discuss your project, or alternatively email your details to us and we can forward a Client Enquiry document for you to fill out and return to start the consultation process.

A detailed quotation and proposed floor plan can be drawn up and sent to you to review.

A site inspection and meeting can then be arranged to discuss your project in detail.
